The Speed sensor cable is for use with the SC or SCT units. This cable provides the pick up for the impellor providing the speed data back to the unit. The 14m version is for boats that don't require a section connector.

Installing the impellor as far forward on the boat is critical in getting a good reading. The boundary layer is at its thinnest further forward and hence the interference of turbulence is least
