About Coxmate

THE STORY

Coxmate was founded in 2002 to provide a new generation of electronics for rowing. Peter Hodson, the founder, a rower from school and university and more recently in Masters, found himself maintaining the electronics equipment for his daughter’s school. This frustrating experience, coupled with over 20 years experience in the development and manufacture of electronics, prompted the development of the Coxmate range. All aspects of existing systems and rowing needs, especially in schools, were analysed carefully.

The resulting products bring rowing electronics to a new level of performance. There has been a strong emphasis on durability,
ease of use and ease of maintenance

In only a few rowing seasons, significant sales growth has been achieved. Distributors have been appointed in many countries around the world. Three products have already been developed and manufactured. There are already another two in the pipeline. Particularly, the Coxmate SC has created a whole new way for coaches to improve rowers’ performance.
